Heater Core Leak Accident

While driving my 86 Mercedes 190E the heater core exploded and the hot liquid burnt my foot very badly. I had a 3rd degree burn and just had skin graft surgery on my foot. I contacted Mercedes Benz dealership and they said that its not their responsibility. I'm so mad! The heater core should not have been placed in such a dangerous spot. I got badly injured because of it and it could of been even worse, I could of got into a very bad car accident or even died as a result. If anyone has had the same thing happen to them please message me. DON'T DRIVE A MERCEDES, YOU MIGHT REGRET IT!

I dont mean to be rude, but how is that even possible? first of all, the heater core and the evaporator are encapsulated inside a plastic shell. second, even if the heater core generated such an "explosion" to rupture the plastic housing, the "flying" coolant would still meet some strong obstacles, such as the underdash paneling as well as the footwell side carpeting.
Contacting the dealership will do you no good, they are not responsible for anything safety related with your vehicle. You need to contact your country's Mercedes Benz Headquarters. If you have health insurance, the insurance claim agent will look into this as well and try to investigate. Also, consulting a lawyer will also benefit you, whether you have a case or not.

I'm not a bad christian, I'm a good atheist.
