That Golf should be a blast!!....just make sure that she doesn't hit another bus because the outcome could very well be different.

We sure would like to see those pics if ever possible. Wish her good luck(and the munchkins) from all of us.

Thanks, Derek

We've had shed loads of VWs in our family; they're almost the default buy, from Sciroccos to Polos to Golfs; they don't always live up to their reliability/build claims; don't even mention door locks and central locking; this is a VW bugaboo that goes back a good twenty years. Like, just how difficult is it to make door locks that work?

But I've had decades of fun in Golf GTis, and a converted 16v Scirocco.

But back to MB - just drive safely, guys.

If Mercedes-Benz didn't exist, I'd surely be driving a Golf GTX or GTi at the moment. I love them!

The 'smoke' is not an after effect of the Sodium Azide which ignites and creates the nitrogen gas to fill the airbag. The cloud that people see is talcum powder or cornstarch used to keep the airbag from sticking together while folded inside its container. The powder is harmless although it can irritate your eyes or respiratory system. All you need to do is ventilate the passenger compartment, although I suspect that most people will promptly exit a wrecked car regardless of whether they think it's on fire or not.
