Thumbs up Safety feature

I found this safety feature by accident:

When closing your window, when it hits an object during the process of closing (such as an arm), the window will go down instead of continuing to go up preventing an accident to happen (such as a severed head- yuck! ). Didn't know about this feature nor can't find it in the owner's manual. You guys can also try but be warned in case the feature will not work for you.

BTW, works for both my ML and C300 (not described in both owner's manual)

2010 B200, Polar Silver, Premium Pkg
2008 ML350, Obsidian Black, Premium Pkg
2008 C300, Calcite White
2007 C230, 040 Black, Premium Pkg (gone)

VW's also have that feature, which I found out years ago when my buddy driver was closing all the windows while I still had my hand up towards the top. Great game of "I dare you" to try on your friends. BTW...this feature is also on the sunroofs on the W203 C-Class cars.

2005 Mercedes-Benz C230WZ - Capri Blue/Ash, Automatic, Entertainment Package, Lighting Package, Sunroof Package, Heated Seats, COMAND, Illuminated Door Sills.

1993 Ford Probe GT - Rio Red/Lt Grey, 5-speed, Package 263A, 886 Fog Light Mod, K&N, Borla Cat-Back, 188,000 miles
