The article never stated who exactly was at fault. I wonder if the driver was saying he just couldn't get out of the way or if the truck actually hit him? Guess it doesn't really matter, either way it sucks.

In the 90's I was a proud owner of a 1955 Packard Patrician. 20 feet long, heavy, built like a tank, smoothest suspension on any car period. The cars were famous for losing their brakes. At any rate, one guy lost his coming down the famous I-5 grapevine north of LA. He totaled five cars while plowing to a stop (no major injuries.) His car was fine, just dented the bumper, bowed a fender and broke a headlight.
