Well, after cleaning my interior up a little, what I did was use my meguiars plastic and interior detailer spray and some of those blue shop towels.

I sprayed some windex on the towel fisrt, to get all the major crud off, and then used the plastic cleaner on anything plastic or rubber. Unlike some stuff, the meguiars stuff left it black and not all fuzzy, like sometimes happens with other stuff, especially on hoses!

Cleaning is all up to you but I have a couple suggestions. Dont use a pressure washer, do as much by hand and with air as possible. Keep a good brake cleaner and electrical contact cleaner to clean connections and oil residue(residue does not mean there is a leak). And last but not least, do not use any armor-all or similar products on your engine cover or air housing as these dont stand up to the heat and generally form a sticky paste all over your valve cover, injectors and ignition coils. For the rest get some good fiber free shop paper towels and go to town until you are happy.

I do it my self home, Some hot water and a sponge without soap, just put the sponge in the hot water and clean it.. it take 1 hour from me to clean and dry it..

some would ask ( why hot water ) .. hot water is better cause i dont use soap .. water only !! ..

after the wash u can use some plastic cleaner and wax to keep it shining for a while ..

Hello everyone,

Kinda late in sharing mine. I did clean my engine bay by using a regular hose. Make sure engine has cooled down.
Only thing is make sure to cover with plastic, like garbage bag, on the once that are electronic. The spark plug area, ac area, etc... and I had my car facing on a down slope. The street where I stay, for example, has down slope elevation and so all the water sprayed goes sliding out immediately. I used a spray to get the gunk out and let it sit there for a good 5 mins.
THat was the last time I did it coz I think it is not good for the environment since the water goes down to the bay.
