It then slid 24 metres before crashing into a concrete barrier, which caused the engine to be flung out of the car.

The headlight assembly of the car was also found about 50 metres from the point of impact, police said.

But when police arrived the car had been abandoned, and despite speaking to the owner of the car have yet to locate the person the owner says he lent it to.

The AS police may forget to check UNDER the bridge. How can he/she not be thrown out 50 metres to the river ?

THE TRUTH of the matter is, the owner of the car is leading the police on a wild goose chase. It is he who crashed and walked away uninjured. Police are looking for an injured man. Hello, this is a Mercedes.. The guy walked away, went back to the house, and came up with the story of letting someone else use his car. He was probably drunk, too!
