There is no question that the Russian and Ukranian plutocrats, diplomats, top rank military, government, business and just plain rich people all prefer to drive top line Audi, Mercedes Benz and BMW models.

Many of the older ones have simply been stolen from Germany and found their way to Russian and the former Eastern bloc countries. Albania more than any other.

The ZIL, ZIM and ZIS cars are a throwback to the Communist times, which are past.

I got to watch the video again - apparently the guy in the Benz is able to keep his car on the car in a fairly decent manner. The peeps in the Bimmer (read: the driver) simply underestimated the effects of a heavily loaded smaller car making sudden lane changes at 200kmh/125MPH.
