if you noticed from the pics, there IS some blood on the seat. just cause he walked away doesn't mean he wasn't hurt.

The driver was a woman. The blood was probably from minor cuts from the glass. There was also a woman passenger who was unhurt.

The only thing that makes me question this is, the flatbed driver pulled the car on the platform hanging off the side? Seems very unlikely. I am sure that alone would be risky and, more than likely, illegal. It is amazing what photoshop can do!

I hate to be the vulture here,,,, but do any of you locals know where this car may have ended up? There are a few bits-n-bobs I could use on my cab.

Considering the state of the windshield, I'm surprised that both occupents managed to walk away.

The accident happened in Bradenton. I'm not sure how many breakers there are there or which ones get vehicles towed from the accident scene. Perhaps a call to the Manatee County Sheriff's office and/or Bradenton Police department.

I am really impressed with this vehicle, though I am still surprised there was no decapitation involved...however the poster of this story did a great job in explaining how both vehicles were going slowly, thus giving the driver enough time to duck..you gotta admire someone who doesn't panic and has the right frame of mind to protect their noggin...lol.

Can someone tell me what year they think this convertible is? I am looking for a used one, and I am so impressed with this vehicle and that it had pop-up roll bars on the back seat head restraints...I always assumed those weren't in MB's till in recent years. So if anyone can guess what year this is from I'd appreciate it.

1994 or 1995.
Updated headlights, larger headlight wipers, updated taillights.
Indeed, quite a shame

that is some serious reaction time if she was able to duck like that haha. I understand they were going slow, but still, I can not honestly say my immediate reaction would be to put my head in my passengers lap lol.

but i gotta say, that car looks pretty good slammed like that...anyone who owns one like it, you should consider an airbag suspension, it looks pretty good on the ground haha
