Now that's some tasty sexism. Are you for real, man?

Merc Vivian- It's great you're not being hard on him about it, and that no one was hurt. My mom let me drive her car when I was 12, and on the 2nd trip I bumped it into the back of the garage. She didn't even raise her voice at me about it. It made all the difference in not taking the joy out of driving, and getting me to eventually be a confident driver.

Cool

I use to take my Dad's 1977 Grand Prix out when he was Drunk/Asleep. I did crash it once and he thought that he did it.

When I was learning to drive, one of my first few times out, I was rear-ended at a stop sign. The guy ended up paying cash as it would have been his third insurance claim that week (!). While we were exchanging information, the boss at the job I'd just started happened to drive by. Small town!

Hmmmm........ I recall 'practicing' in my mums 116 450 SEL around our circular driveway and bumping into one of the gateposts.

She thought she had done it in a carpark and it was some years later I told her it was me

There wasn't that much damage but she quietly had it fixed before dad found out.
