on closer inspection of my profile pic, one might notice a slight blemish to my front bumper on the driver's side. I was backing out of a parking space in an icy parking lot, and it hooked into the front passenger fender of a plymouth neon, right behind the front wheel. it peeled back the fender, passenger side front door, then pulled the front fender-rubber bumper integrated thing clear off the neon. I keep the bumper as is, as a reminder not to forget to use my snow chains.

I was told i had to park on the street from then on as my punishment for parking in his way.
Would have paid to see the surprised look and confusion on your uncle's face.
Sorry about your punishment.

That is the exact reason i will never put my family in one of those small cars. You have no chance what so ever in a T-Bone type of crash.

His car had about $3,000 worth in damage. My car, well, i decided to just live with the barely noticeable dot's on my bumper to save this POOR HONDA driver the hassle. ;( Ha ha, i love my benz.
That's pretty funny, it reminds me of two accidents that I've had in W126s.

The first one happened aroud 5 years ago, in SoCal. Basically, my dad and I were at a stop light, and a mercury sable rear-ended our 300 SDL Turbo. I turned around and had a look, and noticed that the sable's nose was totally smashed in. However, my dad didn't get out and look, nor did the other driver. Later on, after my dad and I had arrived at our destination, I had a look at the rear, and there was practically no damage whatsoever.

The second one happened around 6-9 months ago, in a UK-spec 500 SEL in India. What happened was a guy in a Fiat Uno hit the right-rear quarter of our car at an uncontrolled intersection, and his bumper fell off instantly. Of course, the W126 was completely intact, however the driver had a fit and literally cursed out the Fiat's driver

In light of all that, I'm rather glad that I learned to drive using the former car, even though I've never had an accident in it at any stage of my driver's education (but the durability will really come in handy if I ever do...hopefully that won't ever happen).

Obviously The Honda Driver was 'POOR' seeing as you drive what, a 20 year old Mercedes? What's the book on that thing $2100? Get over yourself.

Also, to everyone who's so afraid of cars crumpling that's what a 'crumple zone' is. The car smushes to absorb the energy from the impact. Thus, keeping it away from your body inside the car.

Hey smart @$$ . "Get over yourself". WHAT!!!!!!!!! when i said "POOR", i wasn't referring to his wealth. I was referring to the inconvenience, and cost of him fixing his car. i was feeling bad that it happened to him. Don't be so quick to judge bro. Oh, and about me driving a 20 year old benz. THAT WAS MY FIRST CAR!!! I was driving that since i was 15 and a half. I learned to drive on that. Look who's talking now. Now i drive a 1998 C43 AMG. Oh, and not that i am trying to brag, it's just that i hate when people like you instigate on forums. GROW UP!!!!!! Here are some pics of my 420SEL and my C43 AMG.
