That is true. I have been driving a 1980 Volvo 240 GL for the last three days (my dad wants to either sell it or leave it with me [:D]), and it is built like it could last another 25 years, easy. Tank quality too! Everybody is afraid of me. Totally different feeling when I drive my trusty 12 year old 190E. But I know it will save my life whenever needed. The choice? Safety: Volvo. Practical safety: Benz.
nice garage. i wish i had one that big[:0]
I can bearely fit both my cars in my garage. You have a nice aisleway.[:D]

My cars:

BLACK 1996 S500 (W140) - Sold

BURGUNDY 1989 560 SEL (W126) - Sold

I want my garage to be this clean. AMAZING!
Nice XC90 by the way, the one and only SUV I would ever consider buying.

You want to classify hundreds of different models, with weigh spread between 1500 lb and 7000 lb based on two manufacturers?
How do image to do it?
I've heard, that Hummer disintegrate after hitting concrete wall at 40 MPH.
Take a look how miniature Smart takes the wall at 70 MPH http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...30767077503480
Shows that this Smart design is very safe for such a small car. The Tridion safety cage is made out of really thick steel, the other panels are all lightweight and give way in the event of a crash.
Weird, it does not feel as safe I you are driving it though (had my bro-in-law's convertible as our ride the last time we were over in the Netherlands).

RE: Volvo or Merc

Kajtek.. this is a play on my name, and the other car is SAMAHA2..

as it is the 2nd car..

Ruudje: I agree, the ONLY SUV I told my wife I would buy is the Volvo, most of the rest are roll over death traps, and Only the Volvo uses a 100% Boron Steel re-inforced safety cage, like on my E.
