Does it take a rocket scientist?
Does it take a rocket scientist to establish that my seat belts need to be replaced?
After more than 2 months, my car's body repair and paint work is finished. It was supposed to be delivered yesterday.
But, the dealer just "discovered" that the seat-belts (ETDs) have to be replaced and they are not listed in the insurance budget. Need to call the appraiser, order the parts and replace them (3-5 more days)...
This makes me very upset, because I told them they should look into replacing the seat-belts early on, the very first week my car was in the shop.
More over, the appraiser won't authorize the replacement of the ETDs in back seat, because there were no passengers riding in the back at the time of the accident.
I had to drive 80 miles to show my dealr page 67 of my User Manual, where it says that the ETDs of the back seat will fire even if there are no passengers there...
Apparently my dealer doesn't have a copy of the manual, or they don't like or know how to read...
And yes, apparently they know less about the cars they sell and repair, than us who drive them...
