OH MY GOD the guy who wrecked that Gullwing should be beaten with a stick publically for all eternity.

Morons with money......

1986 SEC 560
Artic White/Light gray (originally anthracite)
112,000 miles and counting

A restoration ( frustration ) in process , emphasis on frustration. Once a month I think about getting rid of it until someone tells me "nice car".

Its the little things that will slowly drive you insane

I also want to know where these cars are, I would build a lightweight car and simply drop engines from wrecked AMG's in. That could be a money maker. People could also have their cars customized by a Benz tuner, because the engines are the same.

It's a very common sight in the UAE. Maybe it was there.

it looks like the roll bar has been damaged in one of those pics above. isn't it meant to protect the occupant's head?

RE: SL 55 wrecked

From the scratch marks on the hood and roof (what's left of it) it looks like this SL55 driver flipped the car at a decent speed, and then it did 360's while continuing to slide down the roadway. It is nice to know that he walked out of the crash. Unfortunately, the guy who has the ability to purchase a new one of these the next day will ....in all likelihood....have a repeat performance. I hope his luck holds out for him.
