any word on the Mercedes brake recall?

http://www.abiresearch.com/abiprdisplay2.jsp?pressid=279

It's a little disconcerting to hear that there was a recall issued at the beginning of June on the brakes in my car, but I haven't received any further information from MB.

I called my salesperson who told me that the recall just involves a software patch, but the link above indicstes the problem is related to "air-bubble contamination". How can a software patch fix that?

RE: any word on the Mercedes brake recall?

Here's the deal guys.. I work for a Mercedes dealership.. if thats any help.. but anyways the things is the SBC system is used in taxi's in europe and their finding that since taxi's brakes are constantly being used for 8 hours a day that its overheating the fluid and the BOU (Brake Operating Unit). So they decided to issue a recall. Haven't heard too much on whats gonna happen in the US. But they are currently testing the SBC systems. And Mercedes has deceided to scrap the SBC system in the later vehicles.. I can give more information when i find out if you guys want
