who is the TOOL driving an S-Class with Maybach badges?
I saw some kook driving an S-Class up the 5 freeway in Orange County, and it had Maybach badges. Not sure what the point is. It reminds me (but worse) when people put an AMG badge on the normal MB, when a BMW 5 series has M5 badging, etc....
What exactly does this do?
1. You don't impress the car fanatics because you are a poser and they know it isn't real
2. You don't impress the non-car fanatics because they don't know what it is anyway
I can see teenagers doing something like this on a Honda, but for someone that has an S-Class, it was pretty funny. I wanted to follow him and wait til he left and put a piece of paper over the Maybach badge that says "Chrysler".

2000 Mercedes E320 The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but the wise so full of doubts.
I've seen a few S320s on eBay where people will remove the S320 badge and replace it with S500 or my favorite, S600, and then they'll put the V-12 badge on the c-pillars. Why?? lol
My friend works at a cadillac dealership and a couple of days ago they got a pimped (gawdy) 760 BMW with orange suede headliner and cracked kit ect... the guy traded it in for a new escalade. They processed his trade in, he gets the new car, and leaves. They tell my buddy to clean the car cause thats what the do with all the trade in's. He opens the hood to clean the engine bay..... 8 cylinders! V12 badging buta V8 under the hood. No one at the stupid dealership even RAN THE VIN and got BURNED.
He came back a few days later to grab his orange felt pistol case in the modified rear center armrest. Classy stuff.

How is that possible? Don't they have to check the registration papers for trade in? Surely it doesn't say 760i/Li on the paperwork.
If they don't check anything, what if someone trade in a stolen car?
Try bringing that Maybach-badged S-class to that dealership, who knows they think its Maybach 57, then you can swipe 3-4 Escalades for free. Then head to Merc dealership, trade them to S65 AMG and keep the change

Did this tool look Chinese? I can see some of them doing this kind of silly stuff... sorry, I do want to generalize but I drive the same Freeway daily and see a lot of similar tools with similar ideas
