lol in Toronto now I donno any other places they start putting AMG badges on the sport packaged CLK350 at the dealer so if you go buy a CLK350 with sport package at the dealer now it came with the AMG badge on the trunk already.........I guess the dealer see too many ppl do that so they were probably like yeah we are gonna put them on since the owner will put them on later anyways lol

Its funny because back in 2003 we purchased a 2002 E320 Special Edition that came with an ///AMG Badge on it that the previous owner put on. I did not even know what it was at first so I just left it there. The car has been to Florida and upstate NY and I have never had anyone say anything about it.

When I went to pre-purchase inspect my S320 W140 - it had an S500 badge on it - after I purchased it and went to pick it up, it had V12 bagdes on the pillars and S600 on the back!

Now that I have monoblock VI's on it it has a Brabus badge on the trunk

Personally I like re-badging in the other direction. Put S320 badges on your S600 and then go out and have some fun messing with people.

I have actually seen some of that here in upstate NY. The dealer near my house you can go into the showroom and in the case where all their goods are there are 3 types of AMG badges you can buy. Old ones, Modern ones and Black Series 6.3 ones.

ok so i've got a 07 c230 sport.. they come with AMG exhaust, bumper, side skirts and supposedly sport tuned suspension (AMG?).. is it ok to badge that as AMG?

There is no law against it. Its your car. Do what ever you like with it. It does have lots of AMG extras on it so I dont see the harm really. The only reason ours has one on it is because it came that way. Why I dont know but I have never played it off as one and no one has ever asked about so what ever...

If it's got the AMG engine modification, then it gets the badge. It's really pretty simple.
