Window trim change out to chrom on GL450?

Can anyone tell me how to take off the exterior black window trim, the ones (3 per side) on the bottom of the window? I'm thinking of replacing them with chrome. Thanks in advance!

Looks like a good tool. Someone also recommended to take a flat head screw driver and apply tape on the head as to not scratch the paint. Any other ideas?

chrome window trim installed!

Just got done installing the chrome window trims (6 pieces). It was the easiest thing I've done on this car so far. As someone on this board recommended, I just put some duct tape on the tip of a flat head screwdriver and pryed each piece off. They came of fairly easy.
The best way to take them off is to pry the end of trim from bottom up. Here's an example for the driver side door:
Roll down the window all the way, open the door, facing the front of the car, using a flathead screwdriver (w/tape on the tip as not to scratch the paint) starting from the end of the trim, pry the bottom part of the trim. Once it's loose, you can just use your hands to pull the trim off. Just look at the new trim piece and it's self explanatory.
The damn dealer wanted $400 to install these, ofcourse, in SoCal! It took me all but 30 minutes to do.
As of now, I'm done with the "GL450 project". I've put on the following on my GL, I mean my wife's GL: OE running boards, rear skid plate, chrome bumper step plate, chrome window trim all around, and chrome fog light cover with oval shaped fog lights. Now, only if that CEL doesn't come on again, it would be a beauty!
BTW, OE Discount Parts has been awesome! They have the best prices and free shipping too!

I`m waiting in my GL from Germany this weekend, and ofcourse I forgot
to order a car with out the chrome parts.

Like you my plan is to put on a rear skid plate and chrome window trim and chrome fog light cover.

Do you have the part numbers for these parts.

Rear Skid Plate: 66880166
Chrome Window Trim (6 pieces). Part numbers start with 164 690 xx xx: 69 80, 70 80, 74 80, 73 80, 81 80, 82 80
Chrome Fog Light Covers: 164 880 0724 & 164 880 0824.
These are for oval shaped fog lights. The '09 came with round fog lights. You can either buy the real expensive oval fog lights from the dealer (aroune $130/piece) or you can get "replacement" fog lights from stores on line. Do a web search. Try this website: No results found for ‘chascv9232 tail’ - Auto Parts Warehouse)

Hope this helps.
