I was on an empty street and missed my turn by 1/2 block, so I decided to back up in my GL 320. As I wanted to take advantage of no other cars on the street, I pushed on the pedal and - surprise! - I couldn't go over about 15 mph in reverse. The engine mananagement refused to go any faster.
Now, I understand why MB would want me to back slowly, but being big brother should not compromise my driving skills. I wonder if this is also true for the gasoline engined GLs and other MB cars.
Try it and let me know,

This is a great driver's car, except for the comand center and lack of gauges.
