Need keys for a GL

Recently got a used GL that only had one key (not keyless go equipped) I went to our mercedes dealer, but they want $520 for 2 extra keys, which seems insane to me. Any advice on keys for these cars?

The ONLY POSSIBLE PLACE to get keys for your car is a Mercedes dealer.

The price you've been quoted is typical, but you could check other dealers.

i got lucky last week and my dealer didn't charge me for a new key for y 08GL320. I got that key wet and killed it. I think it helps that a couple other family members (inlaws) have bought from them this year, S550 AMG and GL550.

I have heard keys cost them less than $50, and you can get them cheap on ebay. The problem is the dealers have the machines to program.

Thanks for the reminder not to fall in the water with the key in my pocket (or go swimming with the key either!) Unless, of course, I have inlaws that just bought a S550 AMG and a GL 550!!
