I've been around the W210 forum a while, but we are considering adding a 2007 GL450 to our stable. I've driven the vehicle and I like it. It has 81,000 KM on it from highway driving and it will come with an extended 3 year warranty to 160,000 KM. Buying from the MB dealer.
Any caveats I need to know about this one? I'm going to read this forum but my time is tight (may make a decision tomorrow).

I've had a 2007 GL450 for almost 3 years now, and it's been a great vehicle. I don't know of any caveats to keep an eye out for in regards to issues, but there have been some common problems that surfaced with the first year model (cam shaft sensors, some air suspension problems with the very early models, etc.). All the problems people talked about were covered under warranty, so I have to believe the extended warranty would cover any of these things as well if the truck hasn't been through it yet.
As far as features/upgrades, I love the Keyless Go, Premium 1, xenons and trailer hitch. If I was ordering one now, I'd also make sure it had the distronic as I do a lot of highway miles, and the drivers of Ohio can't seem to find the right lane, so I'm stuck turning off cruise control regularly. I would also look at making sure the cold weather features are in place as those leather seats are cold in the winter.
All in all, you'll love the truck, so buy it if you're getting a good price.
Well, I didn't get the original one I posted about, but instead I got lucky and pulled the trigger on a nicer 2007 GL450. Black on black leather, fully loaded (every single option I think). 52,000 KM on the clock, Star Certified.
Got a good price and just have to go and pick it up. Will post some pics later.
