Side mirror auto adjust; how to activiate

Hi,

I have 2008 GL550 and I am trying to figure out how to set the side mirrors to auto adjust when I hit reverse gear.

Does anyone know?

If it isn't in the owners manual then I don't think it was included in the '08 GLs. It isn't on our GL 320.

maybe it's NOT a std. feature on the GL--guessing there. check the manual to be sure. the wife's CLK's says something in the book about mirror adjust switch must be on the pass. side & then there is the usual MB spiritual ritual that you must conduct to 'set it'. I'll try to find & see if it comparable to your issue.

You can activate / deactivate the mirror rear view assist through the cluster. That is how I've always set it up. Especially in the 211 chassis (E-Class). If you can't seem to figure it out, I'd stop by the dealership and they should do it for free. Or if your in the So-Cal area come by German Independent and I'll be more than happy to help you out with it.

I have checked the user manual and there isn't any think about mirror adjust.
On my CLK there is by turning on the right side mirror adjust button "on".

I called the dealer and they told me the same thing about turning on the right side mirror adjust to "on" position but it isn't working for my GL.

Think this feature was deleted for 2008.

I've activated it on my 2007, and then deactivated it as it's useless.
