My service A warning came up early this week. I was planning on doing it this weekend. Drove the car yesterday and the Service A warning has changed to Service B!! Any thoughts?

I canned the entire protocol for services on my car. I change oil annually with 9 quarts of 0W-40 Mobil 1 and top off as needed. I replaced my air filter this year. I will flush coolant and ATF next year.
In other words, I'm going to maintain the car the way I have maintained Mercedes cars for the last 20 years. It's a regular 450 motor.
I found the programming needed to reset the oil change duration/service warning system.
I learned early the maintenance protocol was bull. My dealer told me the hood never needs opening and that annual services is all the car needs. I took off on a trip to Utica, New York and the car was alerting me to "low oil" 2 months after purchase and I did not know the oil's viscosity.
The car is easy to maintain - about equal to my W201 8v. I returned the car last month for a new dip stick and a check of a suspension oil pump and a motor pulley. I also learned about the decorative valve caps which the car cannot use.
Ultimately, I enjoy the car so much that I will keep it for the next 20 years.
