Newbie Post - GL420 order pending

Hi

Newbie from the UK here!!! Had a GL420 for an extended test drive back in January to upgrade from my RRS, however didn't do the deal at the time as I wasn't sure. Sold my RRS in Feb and currently driving round in an AUDI A6 Allroad 3.0tdi - however after only 3 weeks in the AUDI I've decided to go for the GL.

Just wanted to say hi and say thanks for a great forum - spent the afternoon reading about potential problems with the GL (Alignment, Airmatic susp issues, etc) so new feel educated about potential probs (but nothing that will stop me ordering at all to be honest).

Playing with the MB online configurator at the moment to confirm spec and will be taking advantage of the current MB UK discount offers (£8k off list price until the E/March) so will share the final spec once decided.

Big question however is which colour? I say Black, wifey says Silver (wifey has ways to get her own way)

Welcome to the forum Kaine and congrats on the soon-to-be-yours GL420!

Silver vs. black is really a tough choice. You really can't go wrong with either color; they both look great. There are more pictures over on mbworld.org as well as a more active GL community over there.

hello you have a nice black GL550. What wheels you have on it? Are those 20" what tires? Do you know the name?
