Mirrors for towing

Has anyone a solution for adding to the side mirrors for towing a wide trailer? Thanks

the stock mirrors suck in general IMO, anyone else agree? I put the little round blind spot mirrors on and that makes them A LITTLE better. The mirrors are probably too small for a sedan!

I agree the stock mirrors are entirely to small, I wish MB would have at least filled in the entire opening with mirror. After 3 months it is still difficult to maneuver along-side a curb, I can not see the lower sides unless I adjust the mirrors manually or open the damn door to see how close I am to the curb. Never had this problem with 5 other SUV's owned.

You can set the right side mirror to dip to a position set by you to see the curb everytime you go into reverse. See the manual on how to set it up.

I think the "mirror-dip-in-reverse" is only available in vehicles with memory seats?

If you have P1 (which I would think would be on all selections) you have power seats with memory and folding mirrors which would make the "dip" workable.

I'm glad you brought this up. I can do this with the ML but this option is not available on the GL that I have found. Maybe it is because I have the rearview camera option.

I finished my manual last night and looked for this particular item. I couldn't find it either.
