Smile More Power to GL450

As the GL550 is nowhere near, the GL320 to slow and the GL420 not planned for the US, I bought a GL450 and love it - great car indeed.

I am looking for a way to increase power a bit without going to the extend of new exhaust and opening up the enging, more a chip tuning that gets another 15-20hp.

Has anyone seen any chiptuning for the GL offered? What is out there as options?

Tks

I would think that MB did not leave much cheap/free left in the GL450.

I don't think it would be a "Save 1-3 mpg" deal, on the contrary a "Lose 1-3 mpg" statement makes more sense.

You're assuming it will even work. I couldn't find a web site for the company, and the way they use English it sounds like a foreign outfit. You get what you pay for and for $29, good luck.

laugh all you want but I have that same one on my Toyota T100 work truck, it adds 35 Hp and it did make a difference. it was cheap hp and took a whole 5 min. to install. mine for example uses the I A T sensor, it is a simple crimp and go.
This was great cheap power because I'm use to spending thousands on my diesels, as for bumping up the GL??? I am so sick of the dealers trying to find ways to void warranties because of aftermarket parts, that my stock new rides are just that. the money goes into the toys.

** Question, do we know this to be true since there was on prominently displayed at the 2007 Chicago Auto Show?? Why waste the time and money on display if we're not going to get it???

You may or may not have noticed that the original post was in November of last year. I believe the GL550 is headed to the US soon. Read up on some blogs like germancarfans.com or search a little. I remember there being a link about this before.
