I'm getting my GL next Monday.:-)))
Which of the two interfaces- Bluetooth or MHI(cradle)- do you think I should get?
Do you know if MHI supports any V600 handset, or should I get a special one?
Bluetooth is awesome on this vehicle! The sound quality is great, and the mic seems to pick up your voice clearly as well.
The only thing to think about is that when using Bluetooth, there's really no option to use the handset. You'll have to disconnect the Bluetooth link to have a private call (you simply hold down a button on the Bluetooth puck). I would assume with the MHI you'd simply need to unplug the phone.

If you go with the cradle, aren't you limited in phone choices...while the bluetooth will allow you to upgrade as new phones pique your interest. My Treo 650 works great with the new bluetooth.

Yeah, thats true. Here is another reason I like BlueTooth, After the first time setup you really dont need to worry about anything, it automatically detects your phone when you are in where as cradle you must plugin everytime and remove everytime you get out.

Actually when in the call (BlueTooth Mode) click menu button in your Phone and there is an option called 'Use Handset'. Select that to temporarily use Handset for that call alone. When in Handset mode there will be a 'Use Bluetooth' menu too, just in case if you want to switch back to speaker.

Can you use other Bluetooth phones with this module? My wife has a Razr, and I don't, but we both use Bluetooth in the vehicle.
This sounds like a pretty slick option if that will work.
yes you would be able to use the bluetooth capability for your phone. where as your wife would be able to plug it into the cradle or connect via btooth.
