Check your vacuum pipes for splits .And all the fuses .Next would be all the earth points . But plugs, distributor rotor , distributor top and leads need to be spot on , also the coil coud be at fault .,. But thinking again its like fuel starrvation to me . Get a fuel pressure tester and test the fuel pressure.
Check the accelerator bowden cable and mechanism . Also the small micro switch that sits in there must click on and off Then check it by hand rev it up from under the hood, and ask someone to check the revs in the car tacho . Might be the plastic bearing is worn that it runns on . ---Dont forget brake on and selector in park --- Have you a manual on this?
