Had it for our 1998 model and in 8 years never used it.

I've never seen a key like that. This may seem like a stupid question... But what does it do? It looks to thin to go into the ignition.

I don't think it would be a good idea for me to create a signature. It would probably just be some shameless plug about me being a Realtor.

Easy to keep it idling at about 1000 RPM since it's a manual. I'd suppose another negative would be the early generation w203 rear SAMs having the potential of blowing during a battery disconnect/reconnect.

Then my mother has an 05 c240 4matic sedan. It definitely has a nice feel and interior to it. Sort of makes me wish my coupe were the later generation.

Otherwise though, they've been super little cars to us.
We had a 2002 C240 from 2002-2006, and it was a good car to us. Only thing was "1 Malfunction" always came up on the dash after we cut the car off. I thought they were good cars, but we didn't really keep it long enough to really know.

What do you think is the most unreliable car?

I have a W220 and think it is a Grenade waiting to go off. This thing has too many computers that lie to each other, then lie to me. It is not reliable based solely on poor build quality and marketing over engineering. This is the luxe Chrysler mistake car. They may have gotten better around 2005, but I think they are right behind the ML for biggest mistake made by DBAG.

If I did not know better, I would have to say the Maybach reject parts were used to build the S series W220.

How long have you had your W220? What model is it? Any issues yet?

Four years of the car. I was very impressed with it when I first purchased it. PO had bent over backwards to detail and make it look great. It had all the standard failure points (trunk assist, door assist, airmatic, trans leak with forever seal trans) but I was blinded by how good it looked and the PPI came back with no giant issues.

Car has been going down hill since.

That key is used to start the car. If you look at the EIS, it has two very small slots -- this is where it would go in the slots.

--2007 Honda Rebel CMX250 8k. Crashed, now totalled. Gone...

Sorry to hear that. I really like the pre-FL W220s, but I'm not brave enough to pull the trigger for reasons like that.

Yeah, I guess it can be thick enough to fit looking at it again. Pretty interesting.

Funny I said the same thing about the W202. AMG models included. To this day I cannot find anything about them I like. I had one for a little while and hated every second of it after the first day of ownership. My W203 has been great. Interior build quality is sub par however.

I've always kind of liked the w202. (To be specific, the MY2000, I just think it looks better with the tele aid antenna, and the other changes made to the face lifted models. I don't know.)

My friend has a 1994 c220 with like 240k miles on it. I was considering buy a 2000 C280, but I couldnt find one with under 165k miles. So I guess theyre good cars.
