Re: Rotors for an E320

Hi all.

I got 4 new rotors for my '99 E320 a few months back and they are warped again.

What do you suppose would make this happen in such a short amount of time?

I take monthly trips driving 300 miles straight. Would this generate enough heat to do this with normal stopping?

Dumb questions, maybe.

1. Do you rest your foot lightly on the brake pedal while driving?

2. Are you tracking the car?

3. Do you buy crappy Chinese rotors?

4. Did you replace the pads at the same time?

5. Heat is the only reason rotors warp. Why they're heating is either mechanical (stuck caliper) or operator error. Unlikely that all 4 calipers are a problem.
