New member SLC 300 questions

First, let me apologize for this general post about a 2017 SLC 300.

I am working with our local dealer in Tulsa, OK to purchase a 2017 SLC 300. I have a few questions that I hope members of this group can help me answer.

What are the production numbers for this car?
Where are the 2017 SLC's actually made?
What is the SLC Number (R172?)
Are there any TSBs for this car
How do they handle in winter weather (my Miata didn't like snow and ice)

Would I be better off buying a used SLK?

What is the overall reliability of the SLC 300?

Is there a specific forum for this vehicle?

Any information or advice for a new Mercedes owner or must read documents will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

John in Tulsa, OK
(previous Miata owner and multiple Maxima owner)

The 2017 is a refreshed R172. As far as numbers go, if they are still building them, there would be no final numbers on the 2017 model. Traditionally, liability is less than average on these sports models when compared to their passenger counterparts. Hard to say if any TSB's exist. I can't find any but maybe a MB tech can check and chime in. If you want something that handles well in snow or ice, you will want a 4 matic model of something else. Let us know what you end up with.
