But seriously, Camry is a painful capitulation, however rational. It's an appliance for people who don't like cars. Why not a Sonata at least, or a Genesis Coupe, or a Golf/GTI (yes, I know, not as bulletproof) or a Focus. Infiniti also makes a number of cars which are a lot more exciting than a Camry, and are still more economical to own than a Mercedes.

The GL is one of the more expensive ways to get around. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless there's some compelling need for the size, the luxury, and the cost.

I found a Certified Pre-Owned 2014 CLA250 in my area for 25k with 48k miles - no accident, 1 car owner, was personal lease.
A even nicer one,
Used 2014 CLA250 27k with 19k miles - no accident 1 car owner, was personal lease
Or even better
2014 Mercedes-Benz E350 4Matic 27k with 39k miles - no accident, 1 car owner, was personal lease

I have driven a 2013 Hyundai Sonata and 2010 Volkswagen Golf GTI but they were extremely uncomfortable despite that I love the design of the Sonata's. I don't know how well the redesign is for the Sonata though.

Oh yeah I should've said before that my trade-in is a 2004 Lexus RX 330 AWD. Now to be honest I love that car however, since I got it from my mom I didn't really have a choice on what I wanted, and she put a severe amounts of scratches and dings throughout, she's backed into a pole, ran into a couple mailboxes, hit a couple curves causing some dents, in the interior the buttons for the air condition is gone, the paint is chipped, and it has 150k miles. Was definitely a dream car when it was bought new but time has taken it's toll and the amount of repairs the mid-sized SUV requires is endless. A major issue is the SUV gets 8-12 MPG. I don't think I will get much money from it though I was hoping to keep them both but that's not happening.

GL and CLA are at opposite ends of the spectrum. When you are married with 4 kids, you might need a GL. How else could you justify owning a 7-seat gas-guzzling roadhog that you can't park in 10-20% of spaces a CLA could fit into?

I found 2 cars in my area that I like alot that are for a cheaper price and accommodate a luxury yet budget feel. Those cars are the GLK and ML.
2011 Mercedes-Benz GLK350 w/ 68k miles for 19k
2009 Mercedes-Benz ML350 Bluetec 4Matic w/ 71k miles for 17k

and for those who know anything about it,
2014 Cadillac ATS 2.0L Turbo Luxury w/ 50k miles for 19k

What are those cars about? I've never driven neither of them but I do like the way the GLK looks a lot, the features of the ML and the sleekness of the ATS. None are Certified.

ML was MB's first entrant into the SUV market. Designed by Europeans, they found that it wasn't sufficient for the bigger-is-better US market. From the same platform they developed the GL, more-or-less a stretch ML with 7 seats & fewer choices of engine capacity (large or extra-large).

Meanwhile the ML was too big for other markets, so they came up with a compact SUV, the GLK. Sold very well in China, so well in fact that they've been making them in Beijing since 2011.

Edit: I read the posts on page 2, and I agree with Noodles. At 23 and you've been working a week in your first full-time job, thinking about leasing a brand new Benz is more than a little over-ambitious. While it's not impossible, in the vast majority of cases these cars end up repossessed or sold for less than the loan payout value.

Well yes that is why I chose some cheaper Used cars rather than more expensive new cars.
If I were to get the GLK I could get around $5000 trade in with a $1000 down payment at a 3% interest rate with my credit I could get it for only $324 a month on a 4 year plan my insurance will require a $424 down payment with monthly payments of $242 for 11 months.
2916 a month salary
a total of $556 for car
a total of $750 for apartment
a total of $500 a month for college loan
a total of $95 a month for phone

that leaves me with $1015 a month. I could invest $100 a month in my retirement leaving me with $130000 over the next 25 years not including my 401K and "retirement cash".

In no way do I plan on selling it while having the loan, I'm quite positive I won't want to sell the car after just 4 years

There's a problem here. $556/mo for a car? Is that an error? No way should you spend that much for a car, and no way should anyone spend nearly as much for a car as for living quarters. Unless one owns living quarters free and clear, perhaps.

And don't mind the tough love here; most of us were young once
