I have a Cardinal Red 2015 Mercedes E Class. My dealer said he had never seen a red Mercedes before. It was a special order from the factory. In my area the dealer doesn't have any E models in stock that have leather upholstery. Mine has leather and the optional safety features like automatic braking, lane control, and LED headlights.

Yep, I love the Mercedes colours. I have had red, green and champagne, of course the obligatory white and black. My current black cars is lovely......but with my OCD.....I'm slowly going insane lol.

Black is very elegant, but one rain drops sticks out like a sore thumb. All the dark colors are hard to keep clean if the car is driven.

I do not like black, white or silver. I am stuck with a black car, but it has a tan interior, so I live with it. My son has black on black. My 220D was DunkelGrun, the SDL was blue, the E300D a dark blue, my SL is SilberGrun, the 300D was rattle can silver.

The red cars tend to oxidize and look bad if they get too much sun.

I am thinking that the colors on the lots are just basic black, white or silver because the sales force has no imagination and can push the basic cars all day long and they go off the lot. Special colors would tend to sit too long waiting for a buyer.
