My Mercedes mechanic has a customer willing to sell his 2006 e350 wagon with 183,000 miles and he's asking $7,000, which I think is 1,000 to 2,000 too high. Anyway, let me know you think. Mechanic had told me a few months ago that 2006 models had known engine problem, but he just repaired that on this car. Car seems excellent condition - high miles a possible concern, but maybe not if I can get for 5 or 6k.
If the car is really clean and has GPS, the price is about right, but local market can be different.
Read W211 forum for what you need to check and don't take just mechanic word. He needs to show receipts, and/or give you warranty.
Today's MB gas engines make 400k easy, unless factory flaw is not addressed.
