I'm thinkning I made a bit of an error as I tore apart the Garrett T3 turbo on the '91 350SD.
I did not mark the position of the compressor relative to the shaft. I marked the position of the turbine wheel to the shaft and both nuts to their respective wheels. This means I do not have the position of the turbine relative to the compressor.
Both are in great shape with no chips or scratches. Do I need to have this assembly balanced before assembly??
