Question 2013 S550 & Iphone 6s

Is there a way to get an iPhone 6s to play in a 2103 S550? I bought the cable that the dealership recommended for around $65 but when I plug it into the phone the display screen just says 'Device Incompatible'. Thank you.

I believe there is a compatibility problem between I Phone and Samsung in pairing. I don't know of any answer.

Mercedes is not using an MFI "Apple Certified" cable. If they pay Apple to get the damn cable certified then they would work.

I just ran into this on a new Volvo.

I have a few iPhones , a 4-5-6, after an apple update my updated phone often won't work for weeks till MB updates, if you have Mbrace 2 it updates automatically. Usually my old 4 is what I use as an iPod since there are no updates for it. Try a friends phone , see if MB will update your head unit. Or it could be a bad cable. Bad knockoffs are on eBay every day, I know I bought one, I could tell because it had less pins than a mb cable. No easy answer to this if you only have one phone to test. A iPhone not updated may work. I do know apple updates stop my phones from working for weeks. Just use Bluetooth till you figure it out

Bluetooth does everything plugging it in does , and it's automatic. Sound quality of stored music isn't really noticeable. (And I upgraded the stereo) I'd just use the iPhone plug in for an iPod - iPhone for music , and just leave it plugged in. as I use an old phone plugged in for only music. Did you subscribe to Mbrace ? I don't know if it updates unless you subscribe. To charge your phone just use the USB port
