Sorry to be confused if this is simple to answer, new to this lovely car.
Bought a lovely S320 CDi auto W220 2003 model, from a very flash dealership in Oxfordshire. Turns out it was sold without any sign of an 82-point check (RAC have since binned them from their network) and all that is subject of legal action now since it's peppered with faults, some serious.
On top of this, the sat nav was working when I bought it and was on the original ad, but no CD included - when challenged, they sent it through the post with the Warranty. Except when it arrived, the envelope was slit open and no CD of course..
Local main Merc dealership has supplied what they say is the correct version, for a stonking £100. But this is a DVD, and when mounted in dashboard unit it says no CD present; there doesn't appear to be anywhere else for the disk to go, eg in the boot (there's a normal multi-changer but no specific nav devicce that I can see) and all the original documentation mentions 'CD' and 'Dashboard' not DVD and boot.
Can't find anywhere online that says it works with DVD - am I being naive? Should I tell the main dealership that they're wrong, give me a refund immediately, and I can just find one on eBay?? Will it work with just any compatible CD or does it need to be Merc special? Or am I missing something?
