R500 Suspension - Need Good Dealer or?
New guy here,...
Bought the wife an R500, 2007, 70,000 miles, and the Air Suspension is tilting to one side. It's the left side now, was doing it on the right side a month ago.
Took it to the dealer, they hit me with the need to replace air bag in the rear, as the left rear is leaking, did that (on my own) and of course the problem is not fixed. (replaced both rears)
Do you folks actually continue to support a brand, where the dealer (Mercedes of Bellevue, WA) can't correctly tell you what's wrong with your car?
I have read and read, and candidly, am surprised to hear so many "solutions" to the same problem, - so,... I just start replacing all the parts until I replace the one that actually fixes the problem?
1. replace rear bags - doesn't actually fix it?
2. fix front air struts - no?
3. replace relay for air compressor - no?
4. replace compressor - no?
5. replace distribution block - no?
6. replace air lines - no?
7. Are you kidding me?
You guys,... Buy a Chevy. ANY PROBLEM can be fixed, easily, and no "lying" or "ignorance" when you take it to the dealer.
Sorry to sound harsh, but seriously, I can't comprehend the lack of being able to accurately identify the problem on this car.
They did offer me $7000.00 on a trade in for a GL.
Like I would EVER consider a Mercedes at this point.
Any "good" advice is greatly appreciated, I need to fix this thing, anyone know a dealer in the Seattle area that could actually determine whats wrong with it?
Front struts are next, but serious, not knowing which one needs replaced is unacceptable, my Cadillac is making Mercedes look like the overpriced piece of crap it is proving to be.
