92 190E been sitting for 4 years

Ok, so my husband and I just bought a 1992 190E that has been parked for the past 4 years. The person we bought it from said it just needs a battery and some replacement gas. Obviously we know that there's a little more to it than that. We know the fuel pumps works, and the car will start and run for a few seconds if he pours gas in the carburetor. Besides cleaning out the old gas from the tank, what else do we need to worry about right now?

Your mercedes is fuel injected. This should get you started:

I would check the fuel pump relay too. If you look through Kent's videos, there is one where he gets a 300E (I believe) started. I think that one can be helpful for you too.

Make sure all the old fuel is gone and a new fuel filter has been installed.
