Question MB newbie. Should I buy a MB SLK250?

Hi. (If this is in wrong place, mea culpa. Can't find the forum for SLK.)

I am pretty close to buying an SLK 250 but wanted to get any user feedback before pulling the trigger. Things you like, don't like. Mechanical. Things I might not realize. And maybe if you just think it would be right thing for me or not (see info below).

I basically love how sexy it looks. Looks like something doctors or business executives drive.

looked at BMW and Porsche and Audi and Miata and Z. Need a manual xmission, so the SLK is kind of esoteric. But love the look. Should I?

Not sure about the 250 part. Did you mean slk230? I owned one of those for quite a while. If you are looking at a slk230, take a look at the r170 forum. I can give you a run down on what happened in terms of maintenance and repairs on mine too. I still have a copy of the records.

You should also update your information especially your information. If you are outside the US, there are other engines in the slk's not I am not familiar with but some of the other members can advise you on.

Welcome to benzworld.

edit: I just did a search...are you looking at a 2015????

Mike
