Please help with Remedies for first engine start after a Year! Ty!

Dear fellow forum members,

It is a shame how long I havenít been on here, but no matter where I am or who I talk to, there is the one, the only and the first stop for all W220 enthusiasts seeking help and/or advice with their great cars.

Iíve been out of the country for over a year, unfortunately I had no one to leave my 2001 S500 with 140k on ODO who would understand mechanics a bit. So soon after my departure the battery on the car died and the car hasnít been starter since (for over a year now).
Before I set it for park I did place it on bricks to ease the wear on airmatic shocks, and I did have an oil change done no too long before that. However I am terribly worried to crank her after all this time!
I am seeking help from professionals, on everything useful I can perform before cranking the engine.
First, would you suggest changing the oil before I crank the car. Also, to further lubricate engine components on initial start, maybe some kind of oil additive? (though I know most of it is crap)
Second, I know I shouldíve stabilized whatever fuel was left in there, but I will put a fresh gallon before starting. (fuel additive?)
Cant think of much more to do with the car to help it no destroy the engine after so many months not running. However that is why I am here, I am far from an expert, and I know we have many very bright ones here!

Any assistance is much appreciated.
Kind Regards,
Aleksey

If it is fully synthetic oil, heated winter storage, you have no need to worry. Engine will not lose lubrication just because it being in storage, engine can also take on short time oil starvation. Do check oil stains under the engine.

Just get good battery and fire her up.
That is what I do for years with boats and motorhomes.
Sometimes on 4 years old diesel, or 2 years old gasoline.
Adding fresh gasoline ASAP is recommended, but if the engine runs fine, that means it is not urgent.

Charge or change battery as needed, remove bricks, start car. One year is not that long - don't overthink the matter.
