Red face Its been a bad week...need help!

Hi Everyone,
First off, I scratched my rim this week. Luckily I have the tire/rim package so that's being repaired.

Secondly, I washed my car today at one of those places where you pull in and use the pressure sprayer. I only used the water, I had my own bucket and maguires wash. Everything went well until when I backed out...Sun was shining really bright and I noticed my rims had a grime on them. It almost looks like the glossiness of the rim is gone and theres this film over them. Im guessing this could be a few things:
1-hard water?
2-damage by the pressure washer - I had the hose about 1-2 feet away
3-brake dust combined with all of the above?

Its really bugging me...

Anyone have any advice? Is it even safe to use those high pressure washers?

Thanks for any advice. I have an apt at the dealer and plan to check on it when I go in later this week to get the rim with the scratch replaced. Just looking for some insight until then...

Ps- 2015 C300 sport, AMG wheels.

Pressure washer will not remove brake dust or stick dirt.
You need to use brush for that.
