2015 Navigation System: Terrible

Hello Everyone-
I have had my 2015 E350 for about a month and I must say the navigation system is terrible. The map is cluttered with dark gray images that are supposed to be buildings, but serve no real purpose. Is there any way to remove this? I also hate how the street labeling disappears when you move the cursor. It's just a horrible design. Is there a way to replace the software with a new system?

The MB system

is CD-based and does indeed suck. I have a 2008 and it is just as bad. It is inflexible and definitely not user-friendly. Updates become available periodically and have to be installed by the dealership at a cost of about $200. I would have thought they made improvements by now.

Any $150 Garmin is far better and updates can be downloaded from the internet at no additional charge. My advice is that if you need to rely on a Nav aid, get a Garmin. The MB system makes a great radio.
