I am a newbie and I have 2008 e350. Can anyone check my VIN # WDBUF87X58B192757 for balance shaft problem?

Engine serial #: 272972 30 678027

No 2008's were in the 'range' even though a few have turned up. Wouldn't worry about it.

2008 Mercedes Benz e350?

My uncle owns a 2008 e350 4matic and i am going to be getting my license soon. He said he would sell it to me. I just want to know what i am in for when it comes to matinence costs etc.

The engine number checks out as fine.

The 7 speed valve body/conductor plate can act up as it does on a lot of 7 speed MBs.

You will be able to get 10,000 miles out of an oil change.
Just routine maintenance costs after that. ATF every 40-50k miles. All other fluids on their suggested intervals. There should be a booklet that came with the car. If not and the car was owned since new by your uncle then you will find all you need to know in our W211 E class section found here.
