My wife has a 2014 GL350 with 15,000 miles. We've owned for one year and three months. We've had the car to the shop about 5 times, sometimes for 10 days at a time for two issues that haven't been fixed.
1. About once a month the car, when started, will be in a "limp mode". It won't go past 2900 rpm, extremely slow/sluggish, and paddle shift won't work. This goes away as soon and you turn off the ignition and turn back on. We have only been able to show the service dept this once, they ran some tests and found a fault with the exhaust system. Well, this didn't work. I have plenty of videos of this happening, but only able to physically show the dealership once.
2. The car has a slight rattle coming from the front end somewhere. You can feel it through the steering wheel. You have to be going over slight bumps or even a speed bump to feel or hear it. The last "fix" was to replace both front struts. Well, this didn't work.
Has anyone had any experience with getting a Benz lemon lawed? The service manager says he is starting the paperwork to have MB "buy the car back". I'm sure this can't be a smooth process. Looking for some advice.
