remanufactured transmission

Hi all,
did search, nothing show up.

just curious, does a remanufactured transmission that comes with the valve body need to be program in any way?

My dealership said it does which im skeptical about. Maybe they were thinking the transmission doesn't come with the conductor plat/ valve body assembly.

Having just gone through a new valve body installation I believe the transmission needs programming specifically to marry the transmission to the EIS (electronic ignition switch). This requires special tools

I guess that depends on the transmission.
I heard that swapping 722.6 transmission doesn't require any programming.

Yes, you'll need programing. Who ever does the work make SURE they have that capability otherwise she'll be getting flat bedded around to someone who can after the fact...:-/
