Exclamation 99 C230 Komp Grinding Noise Front Tire Area

I have a 1999 Mercedes C230. I have a grinding/rubbing/clicking sound coming from the right front tire area (passenger side). It has been getting progressively worse over the years. Recently had new brakes and rotors put on and new bearings. The noise remains. It is not the tires. Sounds like a bad cv joint, but it is a rear wheel drive car and no front cv joints. Mechanic said he cannot figure out what is causing the noise. It gets louder the faster I go so it is definitely tied in with the spinning of the wheel and my mechanic agrees with me on that. Weird thing is when I go over a bump in the road, the noise stops for a brief second and then starts again. Does anyone have any idea as to what it might be? Looking for an inexpensive way to fix it. Thanks.

Have you tried jacking up the car, all four wheels off the ground, and then individually turning each wheel?
That is, to isolate, replicate the mysterious sound.
Once off the ground, with flash light in hand, you should be able to feel and see what that grinding noise is
all about.
Check the Metal Dust plate on the Braking System.
If they bent that Dust shield, you will hear a metal grinding noise.

My two cents is elevating your car and diagnosing it, carefully and methodically.
