Should I sell my B200
Hi everyone, so I live in Canada near Hamilton and we had yet another famous "CVT Transmission error" on our B200 Turbo. The cost to replace the body control valve is 2,000 after 20% discount. The car is 2007 and has 104,000 Km. I was telling my family that we should really consider selling the car privately or to any company which at least can get us 10k maybe?
The point of this post is basically to ask if its a good idea to get rid of the B200 Turbo now before say more problems occur. Because it is a fact that this transmission visit will occur again eventually and we are afraid that the transmission might just brake one day and we will have nothing left to spare compared to if we sell it now.
All B200s have experienced this CTV issue due to transmission residue plugging the control valve circuitry and rendering the automatic transmission useless.
The car is in good shape and has no rust problems, it has a sun roof and ipod dock and tinted windows. We already had to replace an ignition part because recently the car had a thermal sensor problem that caused the car to not start at all. Recently we have had at least 2 or 3 dealer repairs and I think its time to let it go. Reccomendations?
