the attached pic is of those used on my w210, i believe they're used on w201's & w124's as well.
as i recall, they're kind of a pain to use. they fit the holes in the sub-frame but, inserting the screw doesn't always spread the 'legs' (heh heh...) enough to keep things in place.
anyone find a good alternative? i'm thinking some kind of speed nut (pictured) instead. as there are 2 holes in the sub-frame, side by side, i'm thinking one of the longer ones.
my wife hit something on the road this morning and on the way home, the guard dropped and scraped along the road for a bit before she found a gas station with actual mechanics! remember those?
i've patched things up with speed nuts in a fashion that would surely make a proper tech roll their eyes but, it seems sturdy enough to make it through the work week...
