Battery or Alternator .... Both or something else?

I have a 2003 c230k that I bought for my sister for college. It is experiencing electrical issues. There was a drain in the car for a while that would cause the battery to die if not driven for more than 2 days. I would keep it on a battery charger overnight for hero nice every 3 days to keep it charged.

Last week, when I put it on the charger for her next morning and it was completely dead even with the charger charging overnight. I did a jump start and all was fine. 10 minutes after driving She got srs BAS,ESP,ABS,under voltage, red battery/alternator warning ,limp mode, loss of radio, windows, headlights, wipers, horn, speedo, etc.

Pretty much every error you could think of. She limped it home and we tried to charge the battery, but even after the battery charged it would start but got the same issue. Only time the errors, windows, lights, horn etc and limp mode go away is when the car is hooked to jumper cables from another car.

After reading around I had no idea our cars are so sensitive to voltage and am pretty sure my constant charging of the battery might have killed the battery alternator or both. I also heard of a brake light switch problem as well. Any input on where to start is appreciated.

Welcome to the forum.

I suspect a faulty alternator was your original issue, and not some mysterious "drain". Fortunately, it's not too awfully expensive, and you can also have the one in the car bench-tested by any parts store to be sure.

I concur. Get it to a Parts Store and have them Bench Test your Alternator PLUS your Battery.
Sounds to me, like you have a damaged cell(s) and it won't hold a proper charge.

On 11-12 years old car alternator brushes are likely wear out. Sold in assembly with voltage regulator in US, still can be bought for less than $50.
Testing those things is not always easy as brushes on last leg can work one minute and quit an hour later.
Once you get the alternator fixed, you can install ammeter on battery to check if the car drains battery by not going to sleep
