1999 CL500 Breather Hose replacement

Howdy Y'all

I just replaced the part number 119 090 1982 on my benzy, the 1999 cl500

I was wondering if I am tripping or not, but the car felt stronger once I replaced the part

I replaced the breather hose as I noticed it was getting old and rotten and starting to turn into goo and had torn on part of it, and was holding it with silicone tape for a week or so, before I replaced it, as I was waiting for my part to come in

Is this normal for the car to get stronger with breather hose replacement?

I would think so Yes. The Engine is designed for a certain amount of CFM air flow, start up, low speed, medium/high etc. etc.
What you had before was a leak in a SEALED system, so you did not get the proper amount of Air Flow.

I think with your new Breather Air Hose, you are getting the necessary Air Flow, as per specs!

( while you are at it, might as well carefully check the other air hose and the ( twin?? ) Air Filters )
( a MAF Cleaning might be in order ).

good Luck, enjoy.
